Instructions
Load the crockpot:
Add the chicken and potatoes to the crockpot. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the top.
Add the butter and broth:
Scatter the cubed butter over everything and pour in the broth.
Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3 hours, until the chicken reaches 165°F and the potatoes are fork-tender.
Finish:
Spoon the buttery pan juices over the chicken and potatoes, and top with fresh parsley or chives.
Notes
A true one-pot meal, protein and starch cook together. Cut potatoes to a uniform ~1.5-inch size so they finish with the chicken.
